In this workshop, participants explore the PMBOK® Guide processes related to planning to manage risk, identifying risk, performing qualitative and quantitative assessments, planning responses, and monitoring and controlling risk. Participants are introduced to current viewpoints on project risk, sophisticated risk analysis techniques, and practical methods to manage project risk. The prerequisite is Effective Project Management.
This workshop involves participants in using a unique combination of risk and communications management tools and processes. Participants will develop effective communication techniques to manage key stakeholder risks and to ensure that risk management outputs are well-communicated. The goal is to significantly reduce risks arising from poor communications by applying effective risk management strategies to stakeholder analysis, and vice-versa.

It was created to help project participants reach the next level of proficiency. The workshop focuses on how to manage and communicate about risk on projects. Participants apply internationally accepted project risk management principles and techniques to sample technology projects and create links to their own projects.
Problem Solving and Decision Making 16-24 hours
This workshop provides a conceptual framework for approaching problem solving and decision making situations with clarity and confidence. Participants learn a problem solving process that can be used on long-term, large, complex problems as well as for decisions that must be made under severe time pressures. Participants examine mental functions that affect how decisions are made and detect their own hurdles to solving problems and making decisions effectively. They will learn to develop objectives as criteria to make decisions will discover how to produce multiple alternative solutions to problems. For the alternatives generated, they will apply a number of methods for evaluating alternatives that provide a logical basis for decision making.
Earned Value Concepts and Techniques 16 hours
Combining project scope, schedule, and cost is the best way to evaluate project progress and determine estimates at completion. This workshop introduces participants to earned value concepts that are widely used and accepted as ways to plan and manager projects. Participants will establish a baseline and develop effective measurement techniques. They will learn to calculate earned value metrics, and apply methods to calculate estimates at completion (EAC) for all types of projects.

The project management environment increasingly requires an understanding of procurement as organization outsource all but their core competencies. This workshop covers developing a procurement management plan, establishing the scope and procurement statement of work, contract types, strategic teaming agreements, evaluating and selecting sellers, and tracking and managing seller performance.

Lean Six Sigma Projects 16 hours
This workshop is an overview of the combination of current Lean and Six Sigma techniques. Participants will learn to use Six Sigma and Lean tools, construct a SIPOC, and create a process map. They will conduct a root cause analysis and use an affinity diagram as the foundation to learning how to develop alternative solutions.

It highlights the interaction between project management tools and techniques and software development life cycle methodology. In today's times, organizations no longer have the luxury of excessive resources in terms of people or budgets. Projects MUST deliver on expectations to the organization in terms of value. Project managers MUST manage to those expectations and objectives of these projects. With only limited resources, project teams can’t afford to experience waste. This workshop focuses on effective gathering and delivery of requirements to the project team which is critical to minimizing waste. Participants learn how to define requirements and validate them with the customer early in the process and how to regularly assess the validity of those requirements against project objectives—significantly increasing the probability of project success.
